Frequently Asked Questions

Hopefully we'll include all the answers to any questions you may have - but if we don't - please feel free to ask.

Go to the login screen:

You'll see a "Reset Password" tab - click on that and follow the instructions - the website will send you another email with a password reset in it, along with all the details of what you need to do.

If you're having trouble receiving email from us - you might want to check your spam filters to see if the email is being caught up there.

Apologies, there's nothing wrong, but this is a quirk of the payment type.  The ability to setup your agenda isn't opened up until payment is actually received. 

Which is a bit mean on cheque payers we know, but we've had issues in the past where cheques have bounced or not been received, and we've had to rescind the session bookings and .. it's all got a bit messy.  

Not that we're implying that your particular cheque won't be sent / will bounce or anything - but a process was needed to avoid all the mucking about.

Once the cheque has arrived, we'll confirm your payment and access will be granted, an email will be sent to you straight away letting you know that everything's ready to go.

Because the Davitt Awards are a Dinner we have a few questions about Dietary requirements, seating and extra guest names that we have to ask you - so we can't just add the Ticket(s) to your shopping cart.

If none of the questions apply just leave them blank, set the quantity of tickets you want to buy and click on Add to Cart on the page that you've been taken to.

Let's say, for example, that you're buying a Convention Package and a number of tickets for the Davitt Awards Dinner.....

Add the Convention Package you want to your shopping cart.

When you go to add the Tickets for the Dinner to your shopping change the quantity field at the bottom of the screen to however many tickets you want.

You can also add the names of your extra guests if you would like them included on the seating plan.

To make this as easy as possible for you we've listed the sessions that each author is Participating in on their author bio pages.

(Please note this only shows the Sessions that the author is participating in - not where they are functioning as a Panel Chair).

you will be directed straight to the Program Page or you can revisit it any time at:

(If you come back to the site at any stage to adjust your sessions, you will need to login using the username and password that you set up when you purchased your Package).  Cannot find my username / password

Below the session name there is a link that you can click on "Add to My Agenda" (or if you have selected that session there is a link for you to "Remove from My Agenda").  Clicking on that link signs you up to that session. 

 

Click on SIGNUP at the bottom of the detailed description of the session to signup - you'll be redirected back to the main program page.

 

If a session is unavailable it could be because it is booked out or it could be that we've closed signups for a reason.  Keep an eye on the Convention news on the front page and we'll let you know what has been booked out (in the rare event that happens) or if signups have been halted for any reason.

Sorry - but we're not selling individual session tickets.  A Convention Package can be purchased to allow you to attend the full 2 days (and opening night), or on Saturday or on Sunday.  The Convention Packages are at:

Once you have purchased a package you can add individual sessions to your personal agenda - this effectively "books" you a seat in the room.  Whilst the rooms are limited in numbers they are pretty big - (60+ in most cases) - but we will be able to move some sessions around in the event that they prove to be very popular!
